Missions

At North Henry Baptist Church, we believe God has called all believers to be missionaries. Whether you are called to serve in a foreign country or at your current workplace, God has called you to be a missionary to the lost around you. We believe in serving with and supporting local, statewide, national, and international missions. It is our goal to be an Acts 1:8 church, and to be faithful to spread the gospel beginning in our own Jerusalem of Stockbridge and extending to the ends of the earth.

International Missions

Starting in 1999 the church took numerous trips to the Dominican Republic and ministered in Santo Domingo, Bonao, and San Pedro. We had a family from our church, Doug and Dana Roberts, who were missionaries in the DR. Currently, Doug and Dana have moved to Mexico where they have begun a new chapter in their life. We also have another missionary family, Phil and Jami Cavone, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Beginning in 2000 the church started being involved in International missions with a trip to the Ivory Coast of West Africa to minister to the Birifor people with Phillip and Teresa Lyons and their family. After that the church was instrumental in funding several fresh water wells for that area, since clean water is a huge need there.

In 2002 we took a mission trip to Kobe Japan to help Jeff and Lori Loomis just after they moved to that area. We returned to Japan to partner with Jeff and Lori in 2015 as they minister in the Nagoya area now. We have adopted the Japanese people as our Unreached People Group for whom we pray and we seek to help bring them to know Christ.
